ReedID Beta Programme

Help us prepare ReedID for real-world reedmaking.

We're preparing the first beta version of ReedID, a digital tool for tracking, evaluating, and understanding bassoon reeds.

By joining the beta programme, you can express your interest in testing ReedID and help us understand which materials, tools, and reedmaking workflows should be supported from the beginning.

What to expect

  • Approximately 2–3 minutes to complete.

  • A few questions about your reedmaking equipment and materials.

  • The opportunity to receive an invitation to test ReedID.

Participation is voluntary. Your answers will be associated with your email address and used to prepare the beta programme. Signing up does not guarantee an invitation.

This registration is separate from our anonymous reedmaking research survey.

Purpose

We collect your email address and the information you voluntarily provide about your musical background, preferred testing platform, reedmaking equipment, materials, and testing interests.

We use this information to organise potential ReedID beta testing, contact interested participants, and prepare the app's initial material and equipment catalogues.

Legal basis

We process your beta registration information based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Voluntary participation

Participation is voluntary. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting info@moritzwinker.de. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Data retention

We retain your beta registration information for a maximum of 24 months after submission, unless you withdraw your consent earlier. If you withdraw your consent, we will delete your registration information unless another legal obligation requires us to retain it.

If you are invited to participate in an active beta test, we may ask for separate consent to continue processing the information needed for that participation.

Separation from research responses

This registration is separate from the anonymous Reedmaking Habits & Insights survey. Your contact information will not be linked to responses from that survey.

Your rights

Subject to applicable data protection law, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
